Team Leader
  • Qualifications: ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
    -Master degree or equivalent in International Relations, development studies, Economics, Security studies, Sociology or related.
    -Fluency in written and spoken English
    -Ability to understand the political environment and build strong relationships with different type of stakeholders

    GENERAL EXPERIENCE
    -A minimum of 12 years’ experience in the field of EU budget support projects, particularly in development countries.
    -At least worked in the implementation of 2 budget support programmes in the area of peace, security and crime prevention
    -Proven team leadership skills, including ability to coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
    -Excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills

    SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
    -A minimum of 7 years’ experience of capacity building for police forces and other public law enforcement;
    -Outstanding experience in developing Monitoring and Evaluation systems, preferably for social programmes;
    -Significant understanding of violent contexts and citizens’ security programmes;
    -Demonstrated experience to collect and analyse sex-disaggregated data and their utilization to support crime and violence prevention initiatives;
    -Demonstrated experience of gender mainstreaming in the security sector is desirable;
    -Experience working with EU development cooperation is highly desirable; proficiency in EDF procedures is an advantage.
    -Demonstrated experience in the design of trainings and advisory services, preferably for police forces and law enforcement actors.
    -Previous experiences in the Caribbean region and in Jamaica are preferred

    GENERAL EXPERIENCE
    -A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of social transformation programmes
    -Proven project management skills, including ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
    -Excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills

    SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
    -Proven experiences implementing programmes for violence and crime prevention at both central and decentralised levels;
    -Proven experiences in designing and implementing programmes for behavioural change, pro-social behaviour, respect for the rule of law, life and vocational skills and socio-economic integration at decentralised level;
    -Significant experience in sustainable community transformation, socio-economic development and integration, particular attention to vulnerable women and youth;
    -Proven understanding of gender and human rights standards and principles and their adaptation to local contexts is highly desirable;
    -Good understanding of gender mainstreaming programmes and principles is desirable;
    -Proven experience in the preparation on Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks.
    -Experience working with EU development cooperation is desirable.
    -Previous experiences in the Caribbean region, particularly Jamaica, are preferred
