Our main fields of expertise are Institutional Reform and Capacity Building, in areas such as Justice and Home Affairs, Regional and Local Development and Security.

 

B&S Europe has managed projects in more than 100 countries worldwide and has a long standing involvement with clients including international donor agencies, particularly with the European Commission, National Governments and their agencies.

 

B&S also has permanent offices in Brussels, Pristina and Bucharest and representative offices in more than 10 countries. The company employs more than 30 full time staff and relies on a trustworthy and well experienced network of in-house and external experts to carry out the implementation of projects.

Job Purpose

In order to contribute to its international expansion, B&S is seeking a Communication Project Assistant to join our Communication and Conference Department.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager in managing EU-funded projects, specifically in Communication and event organization and in daily tasks, including:

·         Prepare tenders for conference and communication projects financed by the European Commission

·         Contact and negotiate with suppliers all different activities of the conference/seminar/workshop

·         Participate in the overall organization of communication events in different fields of expertise

·         Secure a good working relation with the Event Coordinator, clients and partners

·         Secure a positive image and reputation of B&S

·         Participate in the development of the firm through the external and internal communication activities

Qualifications: 

Qualifications:

-        Recent graduate or advanced student in Communication, Tourism or similar; Design formation is an asset

-        Experience organising conferences/events will be highly appreciated

-        Experience developing and maintaining communications tools and platform

-        Ability to set goals and a determination to achieve them

-        Proved interest in the cooperation and development field, in particular in consultancy assignments

-        Ability to interact with people and establish good relationships;

-        Capacity for independent decision-making and taking initiative

-        Computer skills MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Internet, and databases

-        Perfect oral and drafting skills in English and good knowledge of French. Spanish and any other language will be an advantage

Conditions

Please note that an internship agreement with a University or any other institutions is required. This is a full time position for a period of 6 months, starting in December 2018, in Brussels; internship allowance is 600€ per month.
