EU Policy and Outreach Partnership in ASEAN


B&S Europe has been shortlisted for the EU Policy and Outreach Partnership in ASEAN  project – and we are currently looking for a Team Leader 




The overall objective of this project is to increase awareness of the EU, of the EU’s Foreign Policy objectives, and of the EU's engagement with the ASEAN region and countries, by strengthening the EU’s ability to engage and partner with selected stakeholders and audiences in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.



Qualifications and skills;






  • University degree at Master’s level or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the scope of the assignment (for ex.: political science, public relations, public diplomacy, communication, etc.).


  • In the absence of a Master's degree equivalent professional experience of at least 3 years in addition to the requirement of at least 10 years of general professional experience.


  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking, and presentation skills required to communicate convincingly with a wide range of stakeholders, to build trust, and to establish contacts.


  • Strong diplomatic skills and capacity to analyse and deal with politically sensitive issues.


  • Strong and proven people management skills to lead, motivate, and manage multi-cultural teams and individuals towards delivering the high-quality results.


  • Proven and good analytical and computer literacy skills; Familiarity with new/multi/social media.


  • High proficiency of written and spoken English, and strong reporting skills.


  • Eye for detail and accuracy, to ensure high quality standards for the implementation and impact of all activities



Specific professional experience




  • Minimum five (5) years of specific professional experience (included in the 10 years of general professional experience) in the field of public diplomacy, communication, public relations, marketing, or international negotiations.


  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a management/leadership position.


  • Participation in at least one project implying the knowledge of European Union affairs and public diplomacy in international relations.


  • Experience in working with the public diplomacy sector in South East Asia and with networks of European and South East Asian think-tanks, academia, research and cultural institutes and other relevant organisations is an asset.


  • Working experience in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam is an asset.
