Last week we were in Nigeria closing the SUFEGOR workshop series of PCM and M&E
Since 2014, we are in Nigeria providing technical assistance to the EU Support for Federal Governance Reform Programme (SUFEGOR). Our aim is to improve coordination of government's public service reform and strengthen capacity of 5 federal agencies responsible for policy planning, revenue generation, performance monitoring and development of statistics.
In the aftermath of the Paris Declaration and the Hanoi Round Table, almost all recipient governments and development partners, including the EU, have committed to result based management, in order to ensure value-for-money of development interventions. Some urgent questions raised among the SUFEGOR beneficiaries have led to the organization of a series of training workshop taking place between August and October this year.
The first round of SUFEGOR 4 day training workshop aimed at strengthening the capacity of staff in Fundamentals of Project Cycle Management (PCM) Technique, Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) and Logical Framework Matrix (LFM).
Consequently, the second round of 4 day training workshop aimed at strengthening the capacity of staff in Fundamentals of the Results-Based Management (RBM) Approach and Developing a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.
The workshops were attended by more than 50 staff across the 5 agencies that learned about planning and implementation and developed skills which will enable them to build effective, meaningful monitoring and evaluation into the culture, principles and practice of their various Departments.
B&S Europe SUFEGOR team assisted to the delivery of diplomas to the participants of two trainings in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
