In the frame of our project "EU Aid Volunteers Initiative: Training programme and Training of candidate volunteers", today took place a training for 25 volunteers on Advocacy & Communication.
This project started in June this year. The objective of it is to develop the training programme for the EU Aid Volunteers initiative; to provide training services to candidate volunteers; and to assess the competences of the candidate volunteers trained pursuant to Commission Implementing Regulation No 1244/20144 and Commission Delegated Regulation No 1398/20144.
The project consists of different tasks which are as follows:
- Preparatory phase;
- Development of the training programme, including all mandatory and optional modules;
- Development of the elements composing the assessment of candidate volunteers' competences before, during and after the training (Self-assessment questionnaire; Learning and Development Plan; Scenario-based simulation exercise; Learning outcome based assessment framework).
- Delivery of the training modules, update of the courses and materials if needed during contract implementation and evaluation of the training programme;
- Implementation of the assessment of candidate volunteers' competences during and after the training (Learning and Development Plan; Scenario-based simulation exercise; Learning outcome based assessment framework)
The training modules were developed over the summer. The pilot training of 25 volunteers was held in October, and today was the first full-scale training of 72 volunteers. There are 12 modules that were developed and B&S Europe was responsible for the development of the module on Advocacy & Communication.
